Ralph Ackler, 85, of Mowak R.D. 1, a retired farmer, died Friday April 17, in Herkimer Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Columbia Center, the son of Henry and mary Manning Ackler.

He married Stella Weaver in 1901 at Paines Hollow. She died several years ago.

Mr. Ackler was a member of the Dutch Reformed Church of Paines Hollow.

He operated a farm at Orendorf Corners, moving to Richfield Springs 35 years ago. He moved to Mohawk three years ago to live with his son.

He leaves a daughter, Mrs. Alta Paine, a son, Harper Ackler, both of Mohawk RD 1; three grandchildren, Mrs. Vivian Keban, Mrs. Louise Dutton and Glen Ackler, allof Richfield Springs, and six great grandchildren.

The funeral was held Sunday in Ilion with the Rev. Harry Kemp, pastor of the Jordanville Federated Church, officiating. Burial was in the Jordanville Cemetery.
