Graveside services for James Rubin Aday, 85, of Skiatook, were held Thursday, April 26, at 10:30 a.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Mannford with Jerry Stumpff officiating.
Interment was under the direction of Peters-Stumpff Funeral Home. Musical selection for the service was "I'll Meet You In The Morning."
James passed away April 24, 2012 at his residence. He was born May 9, 1926 in Pason, Ok., to Marion Thomas and Lydia Ann (Sanderson) Aday.
His family moved to California in 1937 where he lived until moving to Skiatook in 2005.
While in California James joined the Army, serving in WWII. After his time in the Army James worked as a trucker driver, hauling lumber in the Fresno, Calif., area.
James enjoyed fishing and made monkeys out of peach seeds.
James is survived by his sister Rose Sutherland of Skiatook and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.
