Berta Bell Gates of Corpus Christi, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 11, 2009 with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Roby, Texas in fisher County on August 15, 1923 to the late Terry and Hester Bell Campbell.
Berta is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William Alvin Gates, six brothers and six sisters.
She lives behind her family to cherish her memories, her two daughters, Glenda (Harland) Buckley of Corpus Christi and Denise (Marvin) Philips of San Antonio, Texas; six grandchildren, Shannon (Mike) Garrison, Laurie (Trey) Maddux, Shawn Philips, Cindy Buckley Sanchez, Chad (Helen) Philips and Rachel (Chris) Hale; six Great-grandchildren.
Berta Bell Gates has left us and gone to be with her Lord and loved ones.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 16, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home.
Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, August 17, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
