LILLIAN M. DIBBS

CONNEAUT – Lillian M. Dibbs, 90, formerly of Park Ave., Conneaut, died Thursday, June 3, 2004 in the Cuyahoga Falls Hospital, Cuyahoga Falls.

Born in Worcester, MA, Nov. 10, 1913, the daughter of Shikrey and Sadie Debs, she had resided in Conneaut since 1940, for the past four years she had resided in Stow, OH.

Mrs. Dibbs was a member of the former St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Conneaut. She and her husband owned and operated the Anchor Inn for forty-five years.

In her leisure time she enjoyed reading, writing, watching the Cleveland Indians, reading and writing poetry and especially being with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter Lenore Zimmer of Stow; her son Richard Dibbs of Huron; four grandchildren, Mark Dibbs, Karyn Sullivan, Ryan and Michael Catrow; three step-grandchildren, Brandon, Bryce and Kaitlyn Zimmer and three great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Dibbs and eleven brothers and sisters.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, June 7 at the THOMPSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 345 Main Street, Conneaut. Tim Kraus of the Church of Christ will be officiating.

Interment will be made in Center Cemetery following the service.
