Mrs. Donie Ann Ragland Anderson was born April 13, 1887. She died at McFarland Hospital, Lebanon, TN, December 14, 1961 making her stay on earth 74 years, 8 months and 1 day. She was a residet of Bloomington Springs, Rt 1. She was the daughter of the late Savage and Julie Ragland. She was born and raised and lived her life in Jackson County. On October 4, 1904 she was married to Johnnie Peyton Anderson. To this union was born 12 children, all of whom survive. She held membership with the Curry's Chapel Methodist Church. Funeral services for Mrs. Anderson were held Sunday the 17th at Hooper and Huddleston Funeral Home. Burial in Carter and Wheeler Cemetery, Jackson County. Rev. Elkins officated. Survivors include the husband Johnnie Peyton Anderson of Bloomington Springs; 5 daughters, Mrs. Essie Ward, Springfield, Ohio, Mrs. Daisy Neill, Gallatin, Mrs. Johnnie Pearson, Royal Oak, Mich, Mrs. Dora McBroom, Gainesboro, Mrs. Clara Mable Rodgers, Baxter: 7 sons, Sidney, Oliver and Eldridge all of Cookeville, Bethel Anderson, Clawson, Mich, Thomas Anderson, Bloomington Springs, Loid Anderson, Royal Oak, Mich, B. J. Anderson, Baxter; 1 brother, Sidney A. Ragland, Granville; 31 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
