Mrs. Samuel A. Cunningham, one of the most highly esteemed women living in Lauramie township, passed away at 3 o’clock yesterday afternoon at the family residence, six miles southwest of Stockwell. Her health had been impaired for the past six years, and her death was caused by a complication of diseases. Mrs. Cunningham was formerly Miss Margaret Leonard, and was born in Staunton, Virginia, on September 22, 1833. She came to this county about fifty years ago and was married to Mr. Cunningham, who survives, on May 27, 1857. The deceased leaves three children viz: Rev. Albert Cunningham, of Flora, Illinois; Arthur D. Cunningham, of this city, and Ms. Alida Cunningham, who has been teaching school at Clark’s Hill.
