Helen A. Adams, 93, of Grand Island died Saturday, April 14, 2012, at the Good Samaritan Society in Wood River. Helen was born July 17, 1918, in Leader, Saskatchewan, Canada, to George and Philipina (Schafer) Zerr.
Helen was preceded in death by: husband, Don Adams.
Survivors are: sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Cindy Adams of Minneapolis, Minn., and Steve and Kathy Adams of Grand Island; sister and brother-in-law, Katie and Jack Carroll of Omaha; grandchildren and their spouses, Becky and Ryan Oeltjenbruns of Des Moines, Iowa, Scott and Carole Morrison of Huston, Texas, Michelle and Clint Ruzicka of Lincoln and Glenn Morrison of Kansas City, Mo.; and five great-grandchildren.
Helen was united in marriage to Don Adams on June 28, 1954, in Columbus. The couple lived in North Platte before moving to Grand Island.
Helen was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. She enjoyed flowers and gardening. She was a wonderful homemaker and her greatest enjoyment in life was her grandchildren.
Helen was preceded in death by: parents, three brothers and three sisters.
Burial was in the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Grand Island, NE.
