Lloyd Dale Higginbotham, 84, died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2003.
He was one of the founding fathers and first president of International Loran Association.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Greenleaf Memorial Park.
He is survived by his widow, Evelyn Higginbotham of the home; two daughters, Dianne Kidlinger of Springfield, Ohio, and Kathryn Spencer of Raleigh; one son, Duane Higginbotham of Highstown, N.J.; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, Va. 23058-5216 or River Bend Baptist Church, 5001 U.S. Hwy 17 South, New Bern, N.C. 28562.
