Priscilla, a long time resident of the Village of Los Ranchos, was predeceased by her husband of fifty-six years, Nick M. Chavez Jr. and her son Kenneth Chavez.

Priscilla was survived by her sons: Larry Chavez and Daniel Chavez (wife Kathy Chavez); daughter Deborah Chavez-Jaramillo (husband Johnny Jaramillo); grandchildren: Nicki Olguin and Frank Olguin; brothers Ernest Martinez, Joe Martinez, Marty Martinez, Rudy Martinez, Bennie Martinez, and Johnny Martinez; sisters: Ruby Madrid and Virginia Rose; and many nieces and nephews.

Priscilla was a devoted homemaker, mother, and grandmother, and touched the lives of many children in the community. She created a warm and loving home where family and friends would always gather. She was a lifelong member of the Assemblies of God Church. A strong believer in education, she returned to school to obtain her GED while in her fifties. She received many awards of recognition for her community service with the Senior Citizens of Bernalillo County. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and creating beautiful works of art with oil paints. She will be missed by her family and many friends, but she will live in our hearts forever.

Visitation and Services were held on June 29, 2011 at Eagle Rock Worship Center, 7518 Oakland Ave NE. Interment followed at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
