Carensa was a graduate of Taos High School and served as a member of the Rocky Mountain Youth Corps during her high school years. She loved the outdoors and snow skiing and worked at the Taos Ski Valley for several years. During her years in Austin, she advanced from sales associate to store manager. She was recently requested to open a new store in Kyle, Texas.
Carensa was an outgoing person and had a great sense of humor. She frequently helped others in times of need. She was loved and will be missed by many. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 12, 2012 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Austin, Texas. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Des Montes, New Mexico."
