Mrs. James (Ruth) Jordan, age 69 years, 7 months, 10 days of 321 North Second in Albia, passed away Oct. 25th at the Monroe County Hospital in Albia after an illness of several weeks.
She was born in Avery, Iowa and lived most of her life in Eddyville until about one and one half years ago when they moved to Albia, Iowa.
She leaves to mourn, her husband, James Jordan of Albia, a daughter, Berniece Aalbers of Eddyville; a sister, Mrs. Nellie McConaughey of Ottumwa and a grandson of Ottumwa and several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Cyrus Johnson of Anchorage. Alaska: three sons and her first husband, William Aalbers.
Funeral services were held Oct, 28th at the Humeston Funeral home in Albia with burial at the Highland cemetery at Eddyville, Iowa.
