NOTES: Both of the following obituaries say his birth date is November 1, 1877, his headstone only states 1877. However, please see the attached photo of his actual birth record stating his birth date as October 1, 1877, Augusta Township (Milan), Washtenaw County, Michigan not November 1, 1877.

I also have an issue with his death date saying 1955 when the transcribed obituary reads 1953. As of May 8, 2012, I am waiting for return phone calls from the Funeral Home and the Cemetery for the dates they have on file.

UPDATE: Teresa from Oshalek-Stark Funeral Home, formally known as Stevens and Bush Funeral Home, returned my call today, May 8, 2012 at 3:25 p.m. and confirmed his death date as Saturday, April 16, 1955 at his residence in Augusta Township with his parents being William H. Wanty and Mary Ann Patchett.

Unaware of who the person is that transcribed these obituaries, since the original creator of this page was not myself, and having seen it online in so many other Family Trees, I have decided to place the correct information in parenthesis next to the incorrect information. Hopefully, if they did copy them from here, they can still read what it was and what it should be, so they can make any corrections as needed.

I am grateful for the posting because it leads us to the people who actually hold the records. For that, I thank you!
