Cpl. Antonio C. Burnside, 31, of Great Falls, Mont., died Apr. 6 at Ghanzi province, Afghanistan of injuries suffered when insurgents attacked his unit with small arms fire. He was assigned to the 1st Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C.
Cpl. Burnside, AOH-KO-TO-KIM (Many Hides), 31, a traditional dancer and singer who enjoyed fishing and being in the mountains, died Friday, April 6, while serving in Afghanistan. Survivors include his mother, Annie Burnside of Great Falls; father Bob Burnside of Great Falls; fiancé Tabatha Fortner of Pennsylvania; children Arianna, Hartlynn, Angel and Tony Jr., all of Great Falls; sister Ramona KickingWoman of Arizona; brother Milo Burnside of Polson; and grandparents David Chippewa Jr. and Marilyn M.H. Chippewa, both of Great Falls. Funeral Mass is 2 p.m. today at Traditional Games Center in Browning, followed by burial with military honors in Many Hides Family Cemetery.
