Mrs. Mary Habrick Is Buried Sunday
Dies at Age 76; Had Lived on Same Thetford Farm Since Birth
Funeral services were held Sunday for Mrs. Mary Hayden Habkirk, 76, who had lived her entire life with the exception of 11 years in Clio, on the farm on East Vienna road in Thetford township where last rites were held.
Mrs. Habkirk passed away Thursday evening at 8 o'clock from complications of an illness of almost a year and a half. Rev. Charles Bragg of this city conducted funeral services, with burial in Thetford Center cemetery, originally a part of the homestead property.
She was born May 20, 1863 in the present home, the daughter of Caroline and Shernan Moulthrop, and was married in the same house to Warren Habkirk, Oct. 25, 1893 by Rev. Wright of Clio.
Mrs. Habkirk is survived by her husband and her daughter, Mrs. Annah Turnbull, local postmaster, two grandchildren, Marilyn and Ronald Turnbull, and several nieces and nephews.
