Catey, Doris Roberta "Billie" {Pugh} 90 of Tipp City , Ohio passed away Tuesday February 15, 2011 at her home. Born September 22, 1920 in Modoc, Indiana to Lawrence and Erma {Veal} Pugh. She grew up on a farm with her brother and sister. She attended Earlham College and Indiana University . Billie married Arthur "Doc" Catey, December 14, 1940. They moved from Troy to Tipp City in the early 1950's. During the war she worked for Hobart Brothers. Billie and her husband raised their 4 children in a home on North Third St. in Tipp City . She was involved in many school and community activities including the Tippecanoe Historical Society, also a member of the Tipp City United Methodist Church , Tippecanoe Senior Citizens and a former election poll worker. Billie and her family always visited relatives and helped out with their large families. She was a treasure to her family and many friends, loved to visit and appreciated those friends and her family. Billie was preceded in death by her parents; Lawrence and Erma Pugh, her husband; Arthur "Doc" Catey and sister; Mildred Gibbs. She is survived by her children; Joseph B. and his wife Becky Catey, Columbus , Ohio , Dr. Nicholas D. Catey, Berry , Kentucky , Hope and her husband Dr. David Reynolds, Wooster, Ohio and Rebecca Catey, Tipp City, her brother Robert and his wife Karen Pugh, Winchester, Indiana and brother in-law; Richard Gibbs, Troy, Ohio. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren; Michael Catey, Put-In Bay, Ohio, Emily Catey, Hawaii , Lucas B. Reynolds, Indianapolis , Indiana and Caitlin Reynolds, Athens , Ohio . Service 10:00 AM, Saturday February 19, 2011 at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME 327 W. Main St. Tipp City , Ohio 45371 , Pastor Bonita Wood officiating. Visitation 5 to 8 PM Friday Febbruary 18th at the funeral home. Contributions may be made in Billie's name to Tippecanoe Historical Society or Tipp City Library Fund.
