William A. (Bill) Starr

William A. (Bill) Starr, 83, of Morrow, passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2004.

Mr. Starr was preceded in death by his wife, Harriette Starr, and two daughters, Dorothy Dalfrey and Fern Till. He was a member of Morrow United Methodist Church and the Hampton Masonic Lodge 70.

He was also the founder of The Possum Trot Hunting Club. He served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corps in the European and African campaigns of World War II.

Funeral services will take place at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 19 at Pope Dickson & Son Morrow Chapel, with Dr. Dean Milford officiating. Interment will follow at Morrow UMC cemetery.

Survivors include his sons and daughter, Jim Starr of Haddock, Ga., Charles Starr of Griffin, Jim Franklin of Jonesboro, Sandy Eberlein of Morrow, Bill Starr of Morrow, Jeff Franklin of Pace, Fla. and Ben Franklin of Morrow; brothers, Joe, Hugh, and Elmer Starr; sisters, Ava Bell, Hazel Starr and Rita Ballew, all of Texas.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 18 at the funeral home.
