Col. Ehardt was in the military when the Air Force split off from the Army. He was given a choice and decided to go with the Air Force.

He was in WW II, Korea and Chief of Administration for the Military Airlift Command (MAC), Command Surgeon's Office, during Vietnam. A true hero. A finer gentleman could not be found. My step-dad.
