Mr. Dedeaux was a native of Wiggins and had been a resident of the Coast for 70 years. He had been with the Gulfport Fire Department for 20 years before retiring. He coached Pee Wee football for St. John's Elementary School for five years. He was a graduate of Gulfport High School, where he played football. He served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Gulfport.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Ellender Dedeaux; his parents, Homer and Ida Mason Dedeaux; a son, Charles Ray Dedeaux; two brothers, Charles and Herbert Dedeaux; and a sister, Catherine Kennon.

A visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Riemann Funeral Home 25th Avenue in Gulfport. A service will be 11 a.m. from the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens in Long Beach.
