"Father of Winnfield Men Died Saturday At the Urania Clinic
Funeral services for Curt W. Woodruff, 72 of Georgetown, who died Saturday, August 14, in the Urania Clinic, were held at the Hebron cemetery east of Dry Prong at 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon with the Rev. Quarles of Alexandria officiating. Burial was in Hebron cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home.
Mr. Woodruff is survived by his widow, Mrs. C.W. Woodruff of Georgetown; three sons, Riley Woodruff, Willie Woodruff, and A.B. Woodruff, all of Winnfield; three daughters, Mrs. Hiram Bradford, Winnfield, Mrs. Luther Green of Georgetown, and Mrs. Billie (Note: Should be Billy D. Holly) Holly of Pineville; two brothers and three sisters."

NOTE: Curt's biological father is believed to have been a Doyle/Doyal/Dial who after fathering Curt and then killing a man in a duel near Colfax in 1874 moved to the Elizabeth/Pitkin, LA area where he married and had a family.
