Dustin James Oldham, 22, loving father, son and brother, passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2012, surrounded by his family.
Dustin was born May 16, 1989 to Chad and Lois Oldham of Riverton, Utah. Dustin led an active life, developing at an early age a love for the outdoors and to work on the family farm in Lehi. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and riding his dirt bikes. Family who were with him during a hunting trip in 2011 to Wyoming remembers how happy he was to harvest his first antelope.
Dustin will be remembered for his sense of humor and his big heart. He was quick-witted, had an engaging smile, and was always willing to extend a helping hand to others. He enjoyed spending time with his five siblings and other family members, whether it was on the farm, in the mountains or at a barbecue in the backyard. His greatest joy in life was his son, Easton. Easton was his daddy's little buddy, and Dustin would often bring him along on his adventures or play with him at home. Taking Easton on camping trips was a favorite. His heart's affection was Easton's mom, Brynn Bleak. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He will remain forever in our hearts.
Dustin is preceded in death by his mother Lois Oldham, grandmother Vernita Durrant Oldham, and grandfathers Ned Oldham and Floyd Weeks. He is survived by his son Easton, mother of Easton, Brynn Bleak; father Chad Oldham; siblings Aaron (Lori) Jackson, Alicia Jackson, Mindy (Ryan) Ericksen, Zack (Lacey) Oldham, and Tory (Brandon) Miller; niece Kyri Miller, nephews Landon Miller, Ethan Jackson and Luke Jackson; grandmothers Glenna Oldham and Vivian Weeks; aunts, uncles and cousins.
A viewing will be held 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 31 at the Riverton 18th Ward chapel, 2361 W. 13400 S. A service celebrating Dustin's life will begin at noon at the church. Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3600 W. 13001 S., Riverton.
In lieu of flowers, family requests that donations be made to the account for the Easton Braden Oldham Trust at U.S. Bank.
