Actor. Born Archibald Thomas Johnson, he was a tough-looking, craggy-faced supporting performer who appeared in over 75 films from 1921 to 1932. Some of his best known roles were as Hobo in "Grandma's Boy" (1922), the Shriek in "The Shriek of Araby" (1923) and as Sambo in "Uncle Tom's Cabin" (1927). His other credits included "A Sailor Made Man" (1921), "Quicksands" (1923), ‘Jimmie's Millions" (1925), "Don Juan" (1926) and "The Hoosegow" (1929).
