Evelyn Wiens Wigley, 77, of Atwater died Monday, at the home of her son, Christopher.
Mrs. Wigley was a native of Montezuma, Kansas. She came to Winton when she was ten, and later married Gail Everett Wigley, who preceded her in death in 1985. She raised four children, and spent a great deal of time studying religious philosophy. She moved to St. George, Utah, four years ago. She enjoyed discussions about life, politics, philosophy, and art. She was an accomplished artist. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Dwight Wigley of Merced, Christopher Wigley of Atwater, Richard Wigley of Utah, , and Vicktorya Stone, of New Zealand; sister Mildred Eason of LeGrand, brother Willie Wiens of Atwater; and five grandchildren, Nevada Wigley, Vanessa Wigley, Niles Wigley, Moss Person, and Alexander Wigley. Services will be private.
