Abenico "Benny" Luján, age 58, went home to be with the Lord on July 9, 2002. Benny was born on May 17, 1944.
Benny is survived by his wife, Mary Luján, sons, Fermin Luján and his wife, Diane D. and Richard E. Luján, daughters, Diane M. Luján and her fiancé, Chris López and Ramona E. Saavedra and her husband, Wayne, brother, Luís Zamora and his wife, Corina, step-brother, Tony Morrison, sisters, Dolores Gallegos and Rose Chávez, ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Benny will be deeply missed by his loving family.
Visitations will be held on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. in the Stover Chapel of García Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday evening at St. Anne Catholic Church at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday morning also at St. Anne Catholic Church at 9:30 a.m. Pallbearers will be Gilbert "My Dog" Sánchez, Reynaldo "Gordo" Luján, Fermin "Rambo" Luján Jr., Chris López, Wayne Saavedra and Billy Jaramillo. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joe Ray "Buddy" López, Fabian I. Saavedra and Christopher "Chefer" López.
