Edna attended Rochester Bible Training School from 1921-1923. In 1929, Edna and Clarence graduated from Holmes Bible and Missionary Institute in Greenville, South Carolina and immediately went as missionaries to China. Upon returning to the United States, Edna worked for 10+ years as a church secretary.
