Lloyd E. Kroll Sr., 91, Barton, died Thursday, Nov. 25, 1999, at his residence.

Born Oct. 9, 1908, at Midland, he was the son of the late George and Mary (Muir) Kroll.

He was retired from the Extrusion Department of the Celanese Corp. after 43 years of service. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Barton. He was a 50-year member of Allegany Lodge 157 AF&AM of Barton, a past patron and 50-year member of Bethlehem Chapter 14 Order of the Eastern Star of Westernport, and a member of Barton Senior Citizens Social and Retirement Club.

He was preceded in death by five sisters, Alma Shearer, Elizabeth Tichnell, Viola McGann, Hildred Brodie and Ethel Moody; and one brother, William G. Kroll.

Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Helen (Inskeep) Kroll; one son, Lloyd Eldred Kroll Jr., Barton; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Timney, Lonaconing; and numerous relatives in Garrett County.

Friends were received at the Boal Memorial Chapel, Barton, where a service was conducted on Monday, Nov. 28, with the Rev. Peter Leathersich officiating.

Interment was in Frostburg Memorial Park.

Allegany Lodge 157 and Bethlehem Chapter 14 conducted memorial services Sunday evening at the funeral home.
