Mrs. Claytor was born on August 18, 1918 in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late Emmett B. and Minnie (Agee) Hunt.
She was the former owner and operator of the Claytor's Store and was a member of the Falling Spring Presbyterian Church.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Claytor was preceded in death by her husband, Slocum (Jack) Claytor; a daughter, Mrs. Helen Wheeler; four brothers and three sisters.
Surviving is a son and daughter-in-law, Reginald Claytor and his wife, Caroline of Natural Bridge Station; a daughter, Mrs. Audrey Rucker of Roanoke; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive.
Mrs. Claytor is the last surviving member of her immediate family.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 27, 2006 in the Harrison Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Brian Weger. Burial will follow in the Falling Spring Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Harrison Funeral Home and Crematory in Lexington.
