Mrs C.L. Scott, age 23 years, died at home near Slickapoo yesterday, the cause of her death being typhoid fever. The deceased leaves behind a husband and two small children. The funeral will be held in this city today. The interment to be made in the city cemetery.
This information was provided by a descendant of Charles Lincoln Scott and his second wife Clarinda Inez (Casement) Scott. She also states that she has in her possession a letter signed by our great grandfather's first wife (my biological great grandmother) in which she spells her own name as Isabel.......with only one "L".
