Frances G. Chavez, 76, a resident of Albuquerque for 28 years, died Tuesday, December 11, 2001.

She is survived by her son, Eddie D. Chavez and wife, Marie; grandsons, Johnathan Chavez and Jordan Chavez; granddaughter, Jennifer Chavez, all of Colorado Springs, CO; brothers, Alex Gonzales of Santa Monica, CA and Chico Gonzales of Mexico D.F.; sister, Beatrice Gonzales of Mexico D.F.; nieces, Lourdes Torres, Aisha Valencia and Juanita Bethke; and nephew, Abraham Valencia-Borja, all of Albuquerque.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George C. Chavez in 1994.
