Rebecca, daughter of Henry Hungerford Crovatt (1844-1903) and Eugenia A.P. Vente (1838-1866). Her mother died very young and is buried in a very old Catholic church cemetery in Charleston. Henry then married Sarah H. Walker (1844-1886) and she was the woman who was Mother to Rebecca.

In 1883 Rebecca married C. F. Baughn and they had 8 children. She died at her home at 609 Habersham after a long illness. She had been active in the First Christian Church in Savannah and her funeral service was held there.

She was survived by her husband, two daughters: Sarah Helen (Mrs James) McEllinn and Marie Frances (Mrs. Wayne J.) Coveney, and three sons: Lieut. Sidney E Baughn of the Savannah Police Department, W. Elliott Baughn and Harry C Baughn of Jacksonville.
