Marietta Priddy was born to John H. Priddy and Nancy Harris. To John and Nancy Priddy there was one other child known as Louisa Ann Priddy, who also married a Bowles.
Marietta married Benjamin K. Bowles. Born by this marriage was Alexander, who was born in 1842. Joseph, John, Anna and Austin Bowles. Her husband Benjamin died in 1853.
Marietta married Robert Bird. Born by this marriage was Andrew J. Bird. In 1880 she lived with her son, Andrew and her grandson Oscar Bowles (Joseph Bowles' son). In 1900 she lived with her daughter Ann (Bowles) Jones. Sometime after 1900 she traveled to Colorado and lived with her son Joseph, who lived in Keenesburg, Weld County, Colorado. She died in 1908 and was the 146th person buried in Elmwood Cemetery.
