AMITY – Graveside services were held at the Amity Cemetery on Saturday, for Eldon Cecil Latimer, 55, who died in Salem on Sept. 28. Officiating was Rev. Kenneth F. Abbott, pastor of the Amity Methodist church.
Eldon Latimer was born in Amity on July 27, 1905, the son of A.Q. and Emma Latimer.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Georgia Latimer of Portland; two daughters, Miss Sharon Latimer and Mrs. Ellen Rich, both of Portland; four sons, Gary Latimer of the U.S. Air Force, Clifford Latimer, Richard Latimer and Robert Latimer, all of Portland; a sister, Mrs. Edith Walton of Montrose, Calif., two brothers, Louis Latimer of Sweet Home and Wallace Latimer of Sandy and two grandchildren.
