She was born April 7, 1918 in Kittanning to Harry and Hulda Mae (Reighert) Jordan.
Mrs. Artman was a homemaker. She was a member of Appleby Manor Presbyterian Church.
Her hobbies were sewing, bowling, traveling, fishing and especially spending time with her family.
Survivors include one son G. Raymond Artman Jr. of Grand Junction, Colorado; one daughter, Elsie Mae Robinson of Warrendale; five grandchildren, Gregory S. Artman, Valerie Lynn Smith, Robbie Allan Robison, Tawnya Sue Robinson and Rodney Matthew Robinson, six great grandchildren; one brother Edward Reighert of New Castle; and one sister Dessie Bargerstock of Kittanning.
She was preceded in death by her parents ; her husband, George Raymond Artman Sr. who died on January 10, 1992; two brothers, Walter and Bert Jordan; and six sisters Virginia Karns, Marie Heighley, Grace Fiscus, Thelma Toy, Jessie McDermott.
ARTMAN-Friends of Mary Elizabeth (Jordan) Artman 81, formerly of 309 Ridge Ave. Kittanning, who died November 19, 1999, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Sunday at the Kennedy & Blodgett Funeral Home Inc. 253 N. Grant Ave. Kittanning, where funeral services will be held at 11 am. Monday with the Rev. Melvern M. Mc Roberts Jr. pastor of the Free Methodist Church, Kittanning officiating. Internment will take place in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Inc. East Franklin Township. Arrangements ny Kennedy & Blodgett.
