-Anna Dolores "Dodie" Bishop went to be with her Lord and Savior early Tuesday morning, March 6, 2012 at her home at Sylvan Crossing Westshire in Madison. Dolores was born on March 3, 1925 to Robert and Stella (Lancaster) Hughes in Darlington. She married Forrest F. Bishop on October 4, 1941 in Kahoka, Missouri. Forrest passed away on September 11, 1976. She married Kenneth Miller on September 23, 1978 , who after only 16 months of marriage passed away. Newspaper work seemed to be in her blood as she had a rural route for the Wisconsin State Journal in Darlington for many years. When the family moved to Lodi she worked full time for Madison Newspapers in the Circulation Department. Dolores then worked as a key punch operator at Webcrafter's and retired from First Wisconsin Bank in 1989. She rounded out her career by delivering the Prairie Valley Shopping News for many years and often said this kept her young. Dolores had a love of the outdoors and her yard and flowers were her pride and joy. She could be seen almost at any time either mowing her yard or gardening. She loved animals of all kinds and especially her cat "Goldie". Dolores was very talented and made many afghans and hats, plus Christmas Santa's and Frosties. Anna was from a Christian family. She is survived by her three children, Joanne (Becky) Sheehy, Madison, Anita (Dale) LaCoursiere, Verona and Danny (Denise) Bishop, Lodi; her grandchildren, Dustin Sheehy, Staci (Chris) Groeschl, Holly Schroeder, Lindsey LaCoursiere, Eric LaCoursiere and Lexie Bishop; her great-grandchildren, Vivian, Audrey and soon to be born Anthony Joseph Groeschl and Cassandra and Vanessa Sheehy. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews. Dolores was preceded in death by her husbands, Forrest and Kenneth, her parents, sister Lenice Larson and brother Elvin Hughes and their spouses. Funeral services will be held at LODI UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 130 Locust Street, Lodi at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 10, 2012 with the Reverend Scott Walters presiding. Interment will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Lodi. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Friday, March 9, 2012 at the HAMRE GUNDERSON FUNERAL & CREMATION CARE, 157 S. Main St., Lodi and also on Saturday from 11:30 AM until the time of the service at the church. The family would like to thank the entire staff at Sylvan Crossing-Westshire for the wonderful care they gave our mother. She loved them all and was so happy there. They would like to also thank her care team at Care Wisconsin - Pam, Jackie and Liz for everything they have done for Dodie.
