LaRee Gail Anderson, 70, of Rexburg, passed away Friday, March 02, 2012, surrounded by her family, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.
She was born November 7, 1941, in Rexburg, Idaho to John Henry Hope and Thora Evelyn Taysom Hope. She was raised and attended schools in Rexburg. On November 14, 1959, she married R. G. Monk and to this union they added 4 children; they later divorced. She married Rex K. Anderson on February 14, 1997, in Elko, Nevada. She worked for Rigby Produce and for Taylor Produce for 20 years.
LaRee was a member of the LDS Church and the Eagles. Some of the things she enjoyed were, going for drives in the mountains to see the fall colors, horseback riding, camping, fishing and hunting. Above all she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.
She is survived by her husband, Rex K. Anderson, of Rexburg; daughter, Anita (Layne D.) Nelson, of St. David, Arizona, sons: Troy G. (Nona) Monk, of Rigby, Kelly W. (Jennifer) Monk, of Douglas, Wyoming and Jeffery J. (Angie) Monk, of Rigby; sisters: Joyce (Butch) Cox, Lila Higley and Donna (George "Red") Christensen; brother, Lorin "Sonny" (Lynn) Hope; stepchildren: Lyle (Sue) Schwartz, of Idaho Falls, Kathy (Al) Waggoner, of Idaho Falls and Kaylynn Anderson, of Alpine, Wyoming; 17 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; as well as five step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Rhea Higley, Bernice King, Ellen Anderson and twin sister, LaRita Shepherd, and Leona Hope; brother, Vernon Hope; and a great-grandson, Cameron Roedel.
A celebration of her life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday March 6, 2012, at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 W. Main Street, Rigby. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery, under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
