Mrs. Dessie Anders, 85, widow of George Anders, died at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the Figley Nursing Home here following a long illness. Mrs. Anders was born July 20, 1883 at Stryker, and was a charter member of the Pioneer United Methodist Church and the WSCS of the church. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Gerald (Ruth) Keck, of Maumee, Mrs. Ramon (Florence) Watters, of Toledo, Mrs. Lester (Orma) Funk, of Pioneer; three sons, Paul, of Montpelier, and Bruce and Hal, of Dallas, Texas; six, grand chi1dren and five great grandchildren; and a twin sister, Mrs. Bessie Frisk, of Toledo. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Thompson Funeral Home with the Rev. Estell Kauffman, pastor of the Pioneer United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Floral Grove Cemetery. -The Bryan Times, October 22, 1968

Surviving are three sons, Paul Anders of Montpelier; Bruce and Hal Anders both of Dallas, Tex.; three daughters, Mrs. Gerald (Ruth) Keck of Maumee, Mrs. Ramon (Florence) Watters, of Toledo and Mrs. Lester (Orma) Funk, of Pioneer; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren. Funeral service. were conducted today in the Thompson Funeral Home, Pioneer, with Rev. Estell Kaufman officiating.
