Ginger is the daughter of Frank Francis Stabile and June Althea (Brazelton)Stabile.
The sixth child of 11.

She married William "Bill" Galvin December 23, 1968 in Los Angeles, Los Angeles, California.
They had two sons and two daughters.

OBITUARY
Virginia Galvin Virginia M. Galvin CHESAPEAKE - Virginia M. "Ginger" Galvin, 62, of Chesapeake, passed away peacefully Friday, June 26, 2009, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Pasadena, Calif., she was the daughter of the late June and Frank Stabile. Ginger was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was her happiest when surrounded by her family. She had a special zest for life and enjoyed camping, boating, cooking, and celebrating family affairs. She was a Chesapeake school bus driver for 20 years and a member of Saint Mathews Catholic Church. Left to cherish her is her loving husband, William J. Galvin, of 40 years; her son, John Galvin and his wife Cary; daughter, Stefanie Bailey and her husband Bernie; daughter, Catherine Kowalsky and her husband Robert; son, Marc Galvin and his special friend, Angela; grandchildren, Amber Burnett and her husband Rodney, Sara Galvin, Skylar and Sydney Kowalsky; and great-granddaughter, Lilly. The family and all those who knew Ginger will remember her as gracious, warm and loving. She will be deeply missed. A memorial gathering will be held June 30, from 4 to 8 p.m. at 1201 Sanderson Road, Chesapeake, VA 23322. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the local . Arrangements are made by the Cremation Society of Virginia.
