Catherine Ledford "Peedoodle" Aldridge, 93, Christian Health Center, formerly of Deepwood Drive, died at 5:50 p.m. Thursday, April 24, 2003, at the health center of natural causes. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hughart and Beard Funeral Home, Hopkinsville, with the Revs. William B. Taylor and Michael Britton officiating. Entombment will be in the Green Hill Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. Saturday. A native of Christian County, she was born Feb. 28, 1910, the daughter of the late Albert and Carrie Barber Ledford. She and her husband had owned and operated the Aldridge Grocery in Pee Dee for about 60 years. She was a member of the Herndon United Methodist Church and several local bridge clubs. Her husband, Marshall Aldridge, died in 1998. A son, William Milton Aldridge, also preceded her in death. Survivors include two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
