NATCHEZ - Graveside services for Elois Campbell Jennings, 68, of Natchez, who died Friday, May 7, 2004, at her residence, were held at 3:30 p.m. May 9 at Natchez City Cemetery where Dr. Judson W. Hurt officiated.



Burial followed under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation was held from 5 to 7 p.m. May 8 and from 2 to 3 p.m. May 9 at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel.

Mrs. Jennings was born Jan. 6, 1936, in Tree City, La., the daughter of Melvin Lee and Bernice Ashbey Campbell.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church and The Natchez Garden Club.

Mrs. Jennings was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, William L. Campbell.

Survivors include her husband, Charles A. Jennings Sr., of Natchez; daughter, Crystal J. York and husband, David of Natchez; son, Charles A. Jennings Jr. and wife, Renee of Natchez; sister, Carmen Waller and husband, Lynn of Magnolia, Ark.; sister-in-law, Gere' S. Campbell of Natchez; grandchildren, Bridget Bumgardner, Nicole B. Smith and husband Matt, Ashley Jennings, Megan Jennings and Chase Jennings; great grandchild, Sarah Lynn Smith; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be friends and family members.
