Frances was a family person, nothing came before our family in her eyes no matter what, she has past this trait to her younger son.

She was married to Victor Spencer for many years and had three sons with him,Billy Spencer of Gaffney SC,Jimmy Spencer of Union,SC and was predeceased by one son,Ronnie Spencer of Gaffney,SC.

Frances and Vic divorced and Vic later pasted away. Frances remarried later on to Ernest Pittman of Gaffney,SC and together they had one son,Micheal Pittman,he too lives in Gaffney SC.

Frances was the daughter of Clarence and Mable Horne of Union,SC. She had a brother, Harold Horne and one sister,Erlene Sparks Gore, all from Union SC. She had two living grandchildren at her death, Little Billy, and Christy Spencer. One grandchild,Jamie Spencer died along with his father Ronnie some years before. She now has two new grandbabies Brandon and Cody Pittman sons of her youngest son Michael E Pittman and his wife of Gaffney.

Frances loved Christmas because it was the one time of the year she knew that she would have all of her family together.During the summer she and I would take off together to the beach or to the mountains just to be together. She was one of the funniest ladies I've ever know, she loved to tell jokes. She was well known by almost everyone in Gaffney because she was such a people person, she never met a stranger anywhere. I sit back sometimes and just begin to laugh until I cry thinking about her telling me jokes and picturing how she looked telling it. If you knew her you were one of the lucky people for knowing such a fine lady.

Don't spend too much time in mourning
Tears are for the sad
I left to be with Jesus
And this should make you Glad.
Don't waste your hours in grieving,
No need to feel distress
I'm tired of lifes frustrations
and had to get some rest.
Don't vex yourself with questions
or try to reason why
Life here for me was ended;
It came my time to die.
Don't lose the love I gave you,
feed it with your care,
Grow it with devotion
and spread it everywhere.
Don't fret because my leaving
Came in such a way
We'll have another meeting
In God's Eternal day.
