Mrs. Martha Bartlett Dies in Mississippi
Mrs. Martha Bartlett, age seventy-four, a resident of Seymour for sixty-eight years, died at Greenwood, Mississippi, Sunday morning. death occurred suddenly.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon from the Voss Mortuary here with Dr. A. A. Cohn, pastor of the First Baptist Church, in charge. Burial in Riverview Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Voss Mortuary after 7 o'clock tonight.
Mrs. Bartlett was born on April 4, 1870, in Vienna, IN, and was married in Seymour on November 4, 1890, to George T. Bartlett, who died on January 1, 1942. She was a member of the First Baptist Church here and enjoyed the acquaintance and esteem of a host of relatives and friends who mourn her passing. She was an active and faithful member of the Pythian Sisters and Royal Neighbor lodges in this city.
She is survived by a son, Howard T. Bartlett, of Greenwood, Mississippi; a granddaughter, Barbara Martha Bartlett, also of Greenwood, and a brother, Benjamin F. Yount, of this city.
