Kittanning--Friends were shocked on Wednesday on receipt of news that W. Reynolds Bowser, a well known resident of this place, had died suddenly at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Harry Marsh, at Milwaukee Tuesday night. No particulars have yet been received.
Deceased was aged 73 years [and son of Joseph and Nancy Cole Bowser] and is survived by his wife and one daughter. He was formerly a justice of the peace in Kittanning.
In August, 1862, he enlisted in Co. A, 78th Pa. Vol. but was afterwards transferred to Co. G and was discharged by General Order, June 19, 1865. For several years he has been employed in the Revenue Department. His death was sudden and was the result of kidney trouble. The remains are expected to arrive in Kittanning Thursday at noon.
