Benjamin J. Wojick, 92, of Willimantic, husband of the late Adele (Zeni) Wojick, died Friday, October 29, 2010 in Windham. He was born August 27, 1918 in Willimantic, the son of Walter and Sophie Wojick and had lived in Willimantic all his life. He was a graduate of Windham Regional Technical School and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Prior to his retirement he was employed for many years by the Connecticut Light and Power Co. Benny was a member of the Willimantic Country Club and the Willimantic Elks Lodge. He is survived by two children, Thomas Wojick and his wife Angie Koziara of Cranston, RI and Christine Dorcich and her husband David of Redwood City, CA, two brothers, Michael Wojick of Windham and Frank Wojick of Willimantic, a sister Ethel Pasternak of Lisbon, two grandchildren, Jennifer Ryan and Bethany Sherman, five great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Rte. 195, Willimantic on Sunday October 31st from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, November 1st at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, Willimantic with assembly at the church. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Coventry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Joseph Living Center End of Life Suite, 14 Club Rd. Windham, CT 06280.
