Lori Johnson, of Fort Gibson passed this life on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012 at the age of 46. She was born in Muskogee on Feb. 16, 1965. Services for Lori were held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012 at the Shipman Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Don Rhyne officiating. A private family burial will be held at a later date in Okay at the Three Rivers Cemetery. Lori married James Wassom in Arkansas on June 20, 2007. She lived in the Mallard Bay area all of her life and she attended Valley View Full Gospel Church. She completed her associate degree at Connors State College and was a junior at NSU. Lori was a very warm loving person with an outgoing personality, that would make you smile. She loved her family and grand babies and those special times. Lori had many dreams for the future. She was preceded in death by her step-dad, Bobby Thayer, and grandmother, Marian Davison. Lori is survived by her husband, James Wassom, of the home; two daughters, Kasey S. Gant and Sydney Johnson, both of the home; her mother, Sandi Thayer, of Mallard Bay; and her father, Elmer Gant and wife, Nancy, of Hulbert; one brother, Billy Gant and wife, Regina, of Mallard Bay; two grandchildren, Aubrey and Reece Gant; and mother in law, Carol Arnett; grandmother, Marie Gant; other family members and friends.
