Vernon J. McGill
Funeral services for Vernon J. McGill, 46, 2316 S.E. Caruthers street, employment manager at the American Can company, will be Saturday at A.J. Rose & Son chapel. Commital will be at the Portland Memorial. Mr. McGill had been with the company's west side plant more than 25 years. He started as a laborer and advanced through several departments to his position in employee relations. He was born May 8, 1905. He was a member of the Elks lodge.
Surviving are the widow, Virginia; son, Gary; and two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Rush and Mrs. Mabel Heckler.
