Timothy Jon Gordon DeWitt Timothy Jon Gordon, age 60, passed away on February 12, 2012 after a long battle with cancer. He was born February 21, 1951 to Darwin and Louetta (Coley) Gordon Lansing, MI. Tim worked for the Michigan National Guard for 37 years, and was deployed to Iraq 2004 - 2005. After he retired from the Guard, he enjoyed working at Playmakers in Okemos. He was a member of the VFW, the American Legion in Grand Ledge, MI, and the Patriot Guard Riders. He enjoyed ultra running, and he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. His family was very important to him. He is survived by his wife, Karen; daughters, Staci (Jason) Jackson, and Christy (Craig) Short; grandchildren, Paul and Carrie Jackson, Caitlyn Babb, and Thomas Short; brother, Coley (Patti) Gordon; and mother, Louetta Gordon. He was preceded in death by his father, Darwin Gordon; and his brother, Stephen Gordon. Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 17, 2012 at Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing with Pastor Roger K. Straub officiating. Visitation will be Thursday 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., and one hour prior to the service on Friday. In lieu of flowers, gifts in Timothy's memory may be made to the Sparrow Foundation or to the Wounded Warrior Project. The family is being served by Tiffany Funeral Home.
