Brita was the daughter of Adolf Jansson, a Swedish soldier, and Maja Elisabet Anderdotter Hammarstrom. She lived a poverty-stricken life moving from farm to farm to farm with her four children and finally died in the fattighus (poorhouse) in Eskilstuna. Her children were under supervision of child protection & welfare workers for many years. A sad life.
