Martha E. "Marthellen" Hogue, 94, formerly of Mulberry, Indiana, was called to her eternal home on February 8, 2012 in Austin, Texas.

She was born on March 11, 1917 in Fortville, IN to Guy and Mattie (Allford) Bolander. She attended Fortville schools and graduated from Fortville High School in 1935. She graduated from Business School in Indianapolis and worked in the bookkeeping field until she met and married Robert L. Hogue on May 5, 1940.

They spent the next 60 years together traveling the world in their adventures with Robert's distinguished career in the poultry industry where he was a professor of Poultry Science at Purdue University .

She was known as an avid sports buff at both the college and professional level and loved following football, soccer and basketball. She loved the Saints and the Boilermakers and upon her move to Texas in 2000 following Robert's death adopted Texas A&M as her close second.

She loved reading, emailing with friends and family, attending church and cooking recipes from all her travels around the world. She especially loved baking and was "cookie grandma" to many.

She is survived by a son, Robert Kirkwood Hogue and wife Beverly of Cedar Park, Texas, granddaughter Heather Hogue Wilson and husband Kevin, their two sons, Dalton Hogue and Landon Farrell Wilson, grandson Reed Hogue and wife Grace of North Chesterfield, Virginia, brother Stuart Bolander of Fortville, Indiana and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In addition she was an honorary grandmother to her beloved Brasilian family and many others both in Indiana and Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents Guy and Mattie (Allford) Bolander, husband, Robert L. Hogue, brother Floyd Bolander, granddaughter, Kelley Jennifer Hogue, and son and daughter in-law, Stuart L. and Susan Rickman Hogue.

Funeral Services will be held at Dayton Memorial Presbyterian Church in Dayton, IN, on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 11:00 am with Pastor John Everett officiating. Interment to follow at the Fair Haven Cemetery in Mulberry, IN. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to the Dayton Memorial Presbyterian Church.
