Graveside services for Herbert L. Zike, 78, of Tuttle, was held Saturday, 6/10/2000, in the Fairview cemetery, Tuttle. Rev Tom Eastep officiated.

Herbert Leroy Zike was born 3/4/1929 in Binger, OK, the son of Bert & Erma (Martin) Zike. He died Thursday, 6/8/2000 in Oklahoma City. Lee lived in Nevada for 42 years and was former mayor of Henderson, Nev. For 7 years. He lived in Oklahoma City for 14 years and moved to Tuttle in 1996. Lee & Carol Buntin Lindsey were married 10/25/1996 in Las Vegas, Nev. Lee was a private contractor for the U.S. Postal Service prior to his death. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, Lions and Rotary Clubs. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Carol of the home in Tuttle, 1 step-daughter, Mary Turpin Price of Tuttle, 1 step-son-in-law, Leslie Wayne Price of Tuttle, 1 daughter, Shirley Ann Smith of McAlester, OK, 2 sons, Leslie Zike of Kaysville, Utah and Rodney Zike of McAlester, 1 daughter-in-law, Kim Zike of Kaysville, Utah, his step-father, Edward Gunter of Clinton, OK, a step-grandmother, Gladys Gunter of Clinton, 1 sister, Oneta Dowdell & husband J.D. of Shawnee, OK, and 8 grandchildren.

Interment was in Fairview cemetery, Tuttle, under direction of Sevier funeral home, Tuttle.
