He served in the US Army during WWII and later retired from the IRS. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Maxine. Dean is survived by a son, Dean, Jr., of Springfield. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 pm, Sunday, Feb 12, 2012, at Greenlawn Funeral Home South. Graveside services will be 11:00 am, Monday, Feb 13, 2012, at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Pittsburg, KS.
