Flora "Bea" Beatrice Bennett, age 88, passed away October 14, 2000 in Kemp, Texas.
Bea was born September 28, 1912 in Stamford, Texas to George and Ethel Mae Glenn. She was a charter member of Morgan Avenue Baptist Church in Corpus Christi, TX. Bea became the devoted wife of Earl Rayford Bennett in 1931, who preceded her in death in 1961, She is also proceeded by three sisters and two brothers.
She is survived by daughters Nelda (Jerry) Burney of Mabank, Texas, Wanda(Marshall) Altom of Hillsboro, Texas, Glenda (Ken) Crowl of Tempe, Arizona; son, Ray (Frances) Bennett of Mesquite, Texas; a sister Lonette Murrray of Waco, two brothers, George W. (Mary) Glenn and H.L.(Joy) Glenn both of Albuquerque, New Mexico; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grand children; her niece, Mayrene Weaver, who was there to care for her daily for the past few years; numerous other nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 18, 2000 from 5:00 on to 9:00 pm at Gage-Mills Funeral Directors Everhart Chapel with the family present.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 19, 2000 at 2:00 pm at Cage-Mills Funeral Directors Everhart Chapel with Dr. Paul Watson officiating.
Graveside services are scheduled at 3:30 pm at Seaside Memorial Park in Corpus Christi,TX.
